Acceptance and limits

What is accepted, and what is not

One household, one recipient or jointly filing spouses, one gift/inheritance event, one tax year, and one foreign person or uncomplicated estate. Include up to 3 transfers for that event. Multiple unrelated sources receive separate scopes.

Review is capped at 8 files and 25 substantive pages, plus one completed organizer.

Before payment, The evidence agent confirms the recipient/source status, relationship, dates, currency, transfers, trust/entity involvement, services or repayment expectations, related receipts, foreign accounts, filings, and notices, and states exactly which documents and questions are included. Disclosed aggregation questions cannot be ignored.

  • Recipient U.S. status (citizen, green-card holder, or resident; or jointly filing spouses)
  • Source status (a foreign individual or an uncomplicated foreign estate, single source group)
  • Relationship between recipient and source
  • Original receipt date(s) and the applicable filing year
  • Original currency and amounts for up to three transfers
  • Trust or entity involvement
  • Services or repayment expectations
  • Other gifts or bequests received in the year (related receipts and intermediaries)
  • Foreign accounts and any filings or notices
  • The buyer's decision point (ready to proceed or still comparing)

Business receipts, disputed loans, compensation, trusts, entity distributions, multiple source groups, uncertain ownership, and assets requiring valuation are declined or rescoped. Property cases use the separate inherited-property plan. A short fit review decides which path applies before any payment.

Process and proposed timing

How the review works

  1. 1

Screen the broad facts without sensitive documents

Complete the fit screen and request a scope review below. Describe the source, event, filing year, and amounts. Do not send sensitive records publicly.

  2. 2

Confirm the written scope, price, and organizer

The evidence agent confirms the accepted question, the proposed $199 fee, the document caps, the exclusions, and timing in your private portal. Accept that written scope before continuing to payment, the event organizer, and secure records upload.

  3. 3

Extract and reconcile with a reviewer check

The source and recipient identities, asserted nature, transfer dates, currencies, and amounts are extracted where every figure carries a source reference. Chip flags inconsistent dates or descriptions rather than choosing the favorable version.

  4. 4

    One consolidated clarification round

Chip reconciles the receipt event, reviews the applicable U.S. filing questions, and sends one consolidated clarification request. Missing facts are supplied or identified as unresolved rather than guessed.

  5. 5

    Deliver the reviewed plan

Your private portal holds the reviewed plan and structured appendix, with a print option and one factual-correction request within seven calendar days of delivery. Filing is separately scoped.

Proposed service level: 5 business days after scope confirmation and complete required records and clarification answers. Timing is confirmed at acceptance and is not an existing guarantee. Target reviewer effort is 60–80 minutes.

The deliverable

A 3–5-page plan plus a structured appendix

The plan covers the receipt timeline, source and recipient facts, reconciled original-currency amounts and the conversion method to confirm or apply, the accepted U.S. income and information-reporting analysis, any account-reporting questions, missing evidence, the deadlines to confirm, and ordered next actions.

A decision table records the issue, recipient, verified facts, source category, current authority/year, the conclusion or unresolved point, the required record, the owner, and the next step. Receiving funds and later income are recorded separately. The structured appendix connects every material fact to its source; unsupported values stay marked as unresolved rather than shown as zero.

Economics and exclusions

What stays out of scope

  • Preparation or submission of any return or information return
  • Foreign-country tax or legal advice
  • Probate or estate administration
  • Valuation opinions (property, business interests, noncash assets)
  • Trust or entity classification opinions
  • Banking or remittance recommendations
  • Audit representation
  • Legal willfulness or penalty conclusions
Prefer to talk it through first? The existing $100 30-minute scope assessment remains available for conversational scoping or cases that are not yet developed enough for a document-reviewed written plan.

Cases routed elsewhere, before any charge

  • Separate scope or referral

Business receipts and compensation may be income, not a gift, and are not accepted here.

  • Separate scope or referral

A disputed or unclassified loan changes the analysis and requires separate scope.

  • Separate scope or referral

Payment for services is income, not a gift, and is outside this plan.

  • Foreign-trust review (separately scoped)

Foreign-trust distributions are analyzed under Part III and Form 3520-A, not as a direct gift.

  • Separate scope or referral

Entity or corporate distributions are outside the direct individual/estate plan.

  • Written rescope

More than one unrelated source group requires written rescoping before a conclusion.

  • Referral

Uncertain ownership prevents a reliable source-and-recipient conclusion.

  • Separate variant — Inherited foreign property plan

Assets requiring valuation use the separate inherited-property plan.

  • Qualified professional review

A controlling IRS or foreign notice must be handled before this offer is charged.
