U.S. citizens and resident aliens generally remain subject to U.S. tax on worldwide income while abroad. Digital nomads may qualify for the FEIE or Foreign Tax Credit, but those benefits do not automatically cover every income type or eliminate self-employment or state-tax issues. Track where services were performed, where you are resident, and where your domicile remains.
