The $575 package

Simple has a specific meaning.

One original 2025 federal return for a single filer, no dependents, one foreign tax-home country, no U.S. workdays, and records supporting at least 330 full days physically present in foreign countries in the calendar year. Up to $100,000 of foreign wages or gross receipts from one directly owned sole-proprietor service business, plus up to $500 of bank interest.

All required earlier returns must be filed, with no FEIE revocation or other election issue. Chip reviews the applicable election rules before preparation. An original 2025 return can be late; the package does not resolve prior-year catch-up, penalties or collection issues. This online package accepts orders through March 31, 2027, subject to availability; later requests need a separate scope review.

A sole proprietor must supply a reconciled annual profit-and-loss summary and supporting records. No employees, subcontractors, inventory, entity/LLC returns, depreciation, home-office/vehicle deductions, business losses, or special retirement/insurance deductions. Bookkeeping is excluded.

Route these to review before payment

Joint returns, dependents, state/local returns, FBAR, Form 8938, foreign taxes or tax-credit carryovers, prior-year catch-up, multiple years, amended returns, FEIE election issues, investments/crypto, property, pensions, foreign companies/funds/trusts/gifts, treaty positions, IRS disputes, and any uncertain scope answer.

Your foreign accounts must never have exceeded $10,000 combined during 2025, with no signature authority over others’ accounts or other foreign assets requiring reporting. Foreign wages and straightforward self-employment are separate paths; this package does not cover mixed income from both.

FEIE does not remove self-employment tax. The $575 preparation fee is separate from any tax, penalties and interest you owe.

Engagement and cancellation · version 1 · October 24, 2026

Know what happens after payment.

What you are engaging FileAbroad to do

The $575 USD fee prepays preparation of the single 2025 federal return described above, including Form 2555 when appropriate and one simple Schedule C and Schedule SE for the eligible self-employment path. It includes questions needed to prepare that accepted return, your review copy, and filing after your separate authorization. It does not purchase ongoing planning, audit representation, bookkeeping or any excluded filing.

Chip verifies your identity, records and scope before accepting the file for preparation and confirms when preparation begins. Provide accurate, complete records, disclose all income and changes, respond to follow-up questions, and review the completed return. The automated screen is not a tax determination.

Cancellation, scope changes and timing

Cancel before preparation begins for a full refund. If Chip finds the file outside scope before preparation begins, choose a full refund or a separate written engagement. No upgrade or additional work is charged without your agreement.

After preparation begins, cancellation refunds the unearned portion of the fee based on the agreed work not performed. FileAbroad provides an itemized explanation of completed work and any amount retained. Request cancellation through info@fileabroad.com without tax attachments; approved refunds return to the original payment method.

Payment and upload alone do not establish document completeness or a filing date. Chip confirms timing after reviewing the complete file. Filing deadlines, payment deadlines, taxes, penalties and interest remain your responsibility. No tax outcome, FEIE qualification, refund or penalty relief is promised. Nothing is filed until you approve and sign the required authorization.

By accepting at checkout, you agree to this package engagement and the FileAbroad terms. FileAbroad is a service of Iterative Systems LLC. Chip is not a CPA, Enrolled Agent or attorney. FileAbroad terms · Privacy policy

FEIE is not automatic. Living abroad alone is insufficient, and FEIE does not eliminate self-employment tax. Chip reviews tax-home, travel, income and election facts. IRS guidance ↗
