FBAR Account Workpaper
Build a redacted account inventory and aggregate-value workpaper in your browser. Add aliased accounts, ownership categories, dated balances, conversion rates, and evidence — then review a dated aggregate screen and a conservative upper bound. Everything stays in memory until you print or download it.
1. Set up the workpaper
This workpaper uses redacted account aliases only. Do not enter full account numbers here — official identifiers belong only in the secure filing process. Everything stays in your browser until you print or download it.
2. Conversion rates
Enter the reviewed year-end (December 31) conversion rate for each currency you use, expressed as foreign units per 1 USD. Record the source, rate date, and tax year so the workpaper preserves the evidence behind each number.
The FBAR aggregate test uses the value of each account in U.S. dollars on the day it reached its maximum. Confirm the applicable year-end rate from current official instructions before relying on any conversion.
3. Account inventory
Add each foreign account with a redacted alias (for example “Bank A checking”). Enter periodic statement balances, a per-account maximum, or both, and record the evidence status. Leave full account numbers out of this workpaper.
Periodic statement balances (original currency)
Optional: import accounts from a CSV file (processed locally in your browser)
Use a header row with these columns: alias, country, account_type, ownership, currency, opened_date, closed_date, evidence, statement_date, balance, maximum, maximum_evidence. One row per statement balance; repeat the account fields for each balance. Files over 100 KB or 100 rows are rejected, as are spreadsheet formulas and unknown columns.
